Almost a month...

It has been almost a month since my last confession... hahaha.

Right now I'm on a sort of forced unpaid vacation. It's currently Spring Break for Stockton Unified, during which time there's no need for substitutes. I'd much rather have worked, but that's okay. I've been reading, watching television and movies, and taking care of my mother and grandmother. I'm so easily entertained - I've re-read several books and started reading Night Watch. It's really good. I am a little confused about the movies though. There are three books; Night Watch, Day Watch, and Twilight Watch. There are two movies, Night Watch and Day Watch. Although both of the movies are contained within the first two parts of the first book. So, it's a bit odd. Of course the book explains much more, as they usually do. The relationships between the characters are also completely different, which makes it more interesting.

Also, I've been reading the news. Not something I usually do, and I find it to be really interesting. I've read a lot of the articles in the Science and Techonology and the Environment sections. Apparently making ethanol fuels from corn is causing a bigger problem than it may be helping to solve. Antarctica is warming much faster than other locations on the globe and huge pieces are breaking off. Spring is coming much sooner than normal. Etc... Of course I read the "regular" news as well, but the science articles seem to stick with me. I guess I've trained my brain over the last several years to focus in on science content... I don't know, really.

Of course I've also been forced to watch The O'Reilly Factor. What a whack job he is... Although, I do still hear some interesting things. Such as Hillary Clinton lying about the conditions when she landed in Bosnia. What I don't understand is why she would lie about that in the first place... maybe to make her life when she was the first lady of one of the most powerful countries in the world that much more exciting. Or to make it sound as though she has more experience in dangerous situations and can keep a cool head or something? I don't know, just seems like a stupid thing to lie about. Especially knowing that other people who were there know that that's not the way things went down. And what was Obama thinking attending church services by Wright, some loon who thinks that the US government developed and released AIDS to wipe out African Americans, among other things. Of course I don't think Obama actually agrees with him, but it's weird to think that he would be associated with somebody like that. Still, I feel that it's better to be associated with some guy with weird beliefs than to be caught in a stupid lie. Because now that people know Clinton lied about that, they're going to be picking her statements and speeches apart looking for other lies. Especially since I have a close connection to a guy who thinks global warming is not happening, that gay couples should not be allowed to get married, and that Cops is an awesome show. It's my dad, if you hadn't guessed already.

I love reading the news! My favorite sections are International News, Science & Technology, and the Environment!
